Major Updates to Rodan Blog For Rumor Mill Rollout
Rodan Blog Becomes Core Technology of Rick Schwartz's RumorMill.comDevelopment of Rodan Blog technology continues to take major leaps forward as the core technology of the Rodan Blog engine becomes the primary code for the domain, RumorMill.com, which is already live. RumorMill.com is among premium domains in the portfolion of Rick Schwartz, known throughout the domain industry as the Domain King.
Combined with a rudimentary user profile framework, originally developed for MyGiftWire.com, Rodan Blog technology has taken a giant leap beyond being just a blog technology and is now making progress toward becoming an entry-level content management system, and Rodan Blog is less than one year old.
The Rodan Blog engine is also the driving technology of the basic news and public relations control panel that is now in full-scale use on the non-profit website, TheVeteransSupport.org. The website's control panel became operational, for administrative staff, at the beginning of December 2010. The website, itself, went live in July 2010.
First stage BETA testing of Rodan Blog began at the end of March 2010, with the deployment of Howard Neu's Blog, the first website outside of the Rodan Media Group's family if websites. Development of Rodan Blog began in early February 2010.
The next phase of development is well underway, with planned upgrades across the board, including major changes in user control panels, the ability to embed photographs from external websites, the capacity to link to other blogs, modifying feeds to include ATOM and RSS conventions, incorporation of pagination, the ability of users to modify previous posts, and much more.
As development nears the end of its first full year, we have learned a great deal; 2011 augurs continued quantum leaps forward in the development of the core technology of Rodan Blog, and deployment continues to expand to a widening array of websites and clients!
